First Boerma Instituut USA Course!

For the very first time in the 40 year history of our school, we will teach a Fundamentals of Floristry course in the United States.
In cooperation with Holly Chapple from Hope Flower Farm and Chapel Designers, Mike Boerma will be teaching a 10-day vocational training course.

This vocational training course will be held at Hope Flower Farm in Virginia.
It’s a unique chance for anyone in the US to start following their dreams of becoming a Professional Florist.
We will teach all the necessary fundamentals that will give you knowledge and technical know-how that will last you for years to come.

Fundamentals of Floristry
This course combines elements of our most popular course, the Professional Dutch Floral Design Course and Holly Chapple’s teachings.
Some of the subjects of this course are:
– Hand-tied bouquets in many styles (Spiral-tied, paralel-tied, cascading, with frame)
– Classical and modern styles (Mille Fleurs, Dutch Garden Style, Linear)
– Foam-free

Certificate
Upon completion participants will receive a “Fundamentals of Professional Floristry Certificate” from the Boerma Instituut, International Floral Design School Holland.
